Moving to Fenton

CrossBridge Community church is officially moving! That’s right, after 8 months of meeting in our temporary location, on 9/4 we are moving to an expected more permanent location @:
1694 Smizer Station Rd.
Fenton, MO 63026

This begins a partnership with Heritage Classical Christian School, allowing us to meet in the location we felt the Lord led us to a number of years ago. At the time, leadership knew there was no way we could afford this location. Lesson? Our Lord provides. 🙂

James A. Miller Music & Floodlight Revolution announce “CrossBridge 2016”

From JamesAMillerMusic.com:

CrossBridge STL is a church plant meeting 10am Sundays in the Arnold Recreation Center. Comprised of individuals around the St. Louis metro area, across the nation, and around the world, CrossBridge STL is a unique blend of cultures, intent on sharing life together through the saving work of Jesus Christ on the cross. This repentant commonality has brought together a community that might seem an odd mixture otherwise – Midwesterners with African immigrants and beyond. CrossBridge STL understands God’s central message to us bridges all boundaries so we may live as the family we were created to be. We are better together.

During the summer of 2016, James A. Miller, wife Denise, and a varying crew from Floodlight Revolution are helping to plant and support CrossBridge Community Church. James is presently serving as the interim worship pastor and is forming a worship team. The church would like to invite you to be a part of this adventure. Currently it is seeking passionate individuals to volunteer in the following areas:

* Worship Team & Leader: Lead weekly worship music. Training assistance and resources will be supplied by Floodlight Revolution.
* Setup/Teardown Crew: Responsibly for weekly setup and teardown of necessary equipment and signage.
* Prayer Warriors: A dedicated group of individuals are needed to regularly spend time in prayer for services, heart preparation, spiritual growth, protection, and benefit of all who will attend.
* Greeters: We need folks that love to meet people and talk about what God has called us to do through CrossBridge Community Church. This team will be the first contact many will have with CrossBridge STL.
* Child Workers: We need a trustworthy, secure team committed to caring for the safety and spiritual well-being of CrossBridge Kidz (Pastor Keith shot down my label of “Cross Kids”…). Families need to know their children are safe, cared for, and being taught truth in love.

If you live in relationship to the Lord, love to build new teams, and would like to be a part of this adventure, we would love to have you on board, whether on loan temporarily, or if you’re seeking an ongoing church group. If so, please contact one of the following:

Travis Lee Band @ CrossBridge STL on 4/10/16

CrossBridge STL & James A. Miller Music are proud to host Travis Lee Band Travis Puhse

CrossBridge Community Church & James A. Miller Music host Travis Lee Band, Sunday, 4/10/16, 10am @ the Arnold Recreation Center.

Free admission.

In a society where compromise and conformity seems to be not only a trend but a norm, Travis Lee and a band of multi talented instrumentalists are bent on living set apart-in hopes of showing youth and adults that Christianity demands a radical walk of faith. While some bands focus on music as merely an art form, the Travis Lee Band is ministry minded and challenges their audience through bold words and creative songs to seek a deeper and more real relationship with Jesus Christ.

2016 3/27: Resurrection Sunday Recap

2016 3-27 rez su 1

“Resurrection Sunday morning service was beyond amazing. We had our first baby dedication – Wesley and Rachel Mukendi’s daughter Achley. Yes she cried when I held her to pray over her… Happy tears of course. Most important we had 5 people trust in Christ. We had 49 people come to service, and although I came hoping and expecting some to take that step of faith, when it all started happening, it was like an other worldly time zone hit me. I was so blessed and excited, but also shocked. God always surprises me everytime it happens, and I cannot thank the Lord enough for the great work He did this morning. I was so blessed to be a part of it. Thank you to everyone at CrossBridge who showed up early to get everything set up and in place…for His glory! Amen.”

2016 1/4 Newsletter

Weekly Schedule

CrossBridge STL is happy to announce beginning this Sunday, 1/10/16, we will meeting weekly @ the Arnold Recreation Center. We have begun the next phase of building CBCC, and are thankful for the friendly cooperation of the Arnold Rec Center staff.

A typical Sunday morning schedule will be something like below.

9:30 – 10:00am Setup/Prayer Time – We have some specific needs. Developing these areas will be a work in progress.

  • Setup/Teardown Crew Needed: Worship Pastor James will direct an efficient crew in loading in and setting up all equipment.
  • Prayer Cover: We need a dedicated group of individuals willing to spend time in prayer before each service, for heart preparation, spiritual growth, protection, and benefit of all who will attend.
  • Greeters: We need folks that love to meet people and talk about what God has called us to do through CrossBridge Community Church. This team will be the first contact many will have with CBCC.
  • Child Workers: We need a trustworthy, secure team committed to caring for the safety and spiritual well-being of CrossBridge Kidz (Pastor Keith shot down my label of “Cross Kids”…). Families need to know their children are safe, cared for, and being taught truth in love. Greeters will likely connect families with children to Child Workers.

10:00am – 11:30am CrossBridge STL Weekly Services – Worship. Life-giving Word of God. Connection to Community.

11:30am – 12:00pm Fellowship/Teardown – All are invited to spend some time getting to know each other, connect with new people, and strengthen the bonds that form when we share life in Christ together. During this time, the worship team and any other Setup/Teardown/Tech Crew members will break down and pack away equipment using standardized methods that James will teach.

12:00pm Depart from the room/Fellowship Continues – You don’t have to leave the premises, just the room in order to respect the facility time slot we’re allotted. Mingle in the plentiful common areas, play some games, go for a swim, or chat over lunch at one of the nearby restaurants. [Bandana’s Bar-B-Q is a favorite. They want you to “Smell that Smoke”! I suggest doing it at lunch, not the afterlife!]

Forthcoming Small Group(s)

On either a Tuesday or Wednesday, on an undetermined date, the first Small Group series will convene with Pastor Keith teaching on church membership. This meeting will rotate through homes 3x/month. Check back for more information.

Worship Team

Worship Pastor James is organizing a small worship team. Once established, the lineup will rotate on a 2 week cycle. There may be an ocassional substitute leader until James’ prior leadership duties are fulfilled.

Prayer Warriors

A Prayer Warrior leader is needed, along with a team to regularly go on the offensive against the enemy, Satan, and his forces. The enemy will do all they can to wreck CrossBridge Community Church and its people. Instead, let us being a dangerous foothold situation, secure in the stronghold of Jesus Christ, behind the enemy lines. Let us cover CrossBridge Community Church in prayer! Let us put on the full armor of God so that we may lead people to the cross, and bridge them into the community of Christ.

In Christ,
James A. Miller
